Charging

Eldrive opens 5 new charging sites in Romania and builds hubs with 720 kW chargers in Huși, Târgu Neamț and Roșiori de Vede

The biggest of the new sites is in Răducăneni (Iași county), on the DN28: 3 x 200 kW. Eldrive is aiming for 100 MW of installed power by the end of the year, and the Route Planner in its app now covers more than 1,400 models.

Eldrive Romania has recently opened 5 new charging locations and is working on more than ten others in parallel, which it hopes to open in the coming weeks. The news comes from the newsletter it sent to customers on October 6. The company's target: 100 MW of installed power across the network by the end of the year. In May, Eldrive talked about doubling its power in 2026, from 42 to 84 MW.

The headline: Răducăneni, on the DN28

At the Galeriile Comerciale Răducăneni shopping centre (Iași county), on the DN28 road between Iași and the Albița border crossing, there are now 3 DC chargers of 200 kW, each with two CCS cables.

The big hubs under construction

  • 2 x 720 kW + 2 x 400 kW DC (the 720 kW units have four CCS cables each): Altex Huși, Altex Retail Park Târgu Neamț and Funshop Park Roșiori de Vede;
  • 6 x 400 kW DC: Penny Huși, Altex Caracal and Altex Balș.

Each of these six sites will have more than 2.2 MW. Moldova (the historical region of eastern Romania) does well: Huși will get two hubs with 4.6 MW in total, close to the Albița crossing, while Târgu Neamț and Răducăneni round out the network in the region.
