Opel at the Paris Motor Show: the 281 hp Corsa GSE, the electric STX Concept estate and its Formula E car
Opel is bringing the Corsa GSE to Paris, a 281 hp electric hot hatch from €39,900 in Germany, along with the STX Concept that previews its future electric estate and the final livery of the GSE 27FE for its first Formula E season.

Opel is building its Paris Motor Show stand around its GSE electric performance range. The press conference is on October 12 at 11:10 a.m. (12:10 Romanian time), and stand A42 in Hall 4 is open to the public until October 18.
Corsa GSE: 281 hp for €39,900
The star for buyers is the Corsa GSE, which has been on sale in Germany since September 1 and is now making its first motor show appearance.
- Motor: 207 kW (281 hp) and 345 Nm, front-wheel drive, Torsen limited-slip differential
- Performance: 0–100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, 180 km/h top speed
- Battery: 54 kWh gross (51 kWh usable), NMC
- Range: 354–374 km WLTP, depending on tyres
- Charging: 100 kW DC, 20–80% in about 27 minutes; 11 kW AC
- Price: from €39,900 in Germany and €41,490 in Austria
It gets lowered sports suspension, four-piston Alcon brakes and Alcantara sports seats. In electrive's test, real-world consumption in spirited driving was 19.8 kWh/100 km, or about 260 km per charge.
The Corsa GSE uses the same 281 hp hardware as the Peugeot E-208 GTi, which costs €42,900 in France, so the Opel is the cheaper take on the same recipe. There's no official Romanian price yet.
STX Concept: tomorrow's electric estate
The second world premiere is the STX Concept (Sports Tourer eXperimental), an electric estate that shows where Opel design is heading. Opel hasn't released technical data for it yet. The stand also shows the new Astra GSE Line, available from spring 2027.
Formula E: the final livery
In Paris, Opel is also showing the final livery of the GSE 27FE, the car it will race in its first Formula E season, at the start of the new GEN4 era. It's built around black, silver and yellow colour blocks. The drivers are Mitch Evans, the most successful driver in Formula E history with 16 wins, and Théo Pourchaire. The debut is in Jeddah on December 18 and 19.
The Corsa GSE's most visible rival comes from VW: the ID. Polo GTI, with 226 hp, at €39,995.
