The Subaru Uncharted, the brand's first fully electric compact SUV, can now be ordered in Romania in four versions. You can pick front-wheel drive for maximum range or Dual Motor all-wheel drive with 343 PS. With the €5,000 launch bonus, prices start at €34,900 including VAT.

Four versions, two batteries

According to Subaru Romania's official website, the Uncharted comes in three technical configurations:

  • Entry FWD: 57.7 kWh battery, up to 451 km WLTP;
  • Long Range FWD: 77 kWh battery, up to 592 km WLTP, the longest range in Subaru's electric line-up;
  • Dual Motor AWD: 343 PS, 0–100 km/h in 5.0 s, up to 495 km WLTP and a 1,500 kg towing capacity.

The AWD version comes in two trim levels, making four versions in total.

Charging ready for winter

The Uncharted DC charges at up to 150 kW, 10 to 80% in about 28 minutes with a preconditioned battery, according to Subaru France. A 22 kW AC on-board charger is standard on every version, a rare plus in this class. Set a charger as your navigation destination and the car warms the battery before you arrive. Subaru Europe says 10–80% takes 30 minutes even at -10°C.

Five Euro NCAP stars

The Uncharted earned the maximum five stars in Euro NCAP's 2025 testing: 88% adult occupant, 85% child occupant, 80% vulnerable road users and 79% safety assist. Subaru Europe highlighted top scores in rear impact, autonomous braking for motorcyclists and lane support.

A national campaign launched at the Bucharest show

The Bucharest Auto Show also marked the start of a national campaign for the Uncharted, reports "AutoMarket". Subaru's new Country Manager for Romania, Irinel Marghioala, explained that the goal is not to prove Subaru can build an electric car, but to take electrification further without losing what defines the brand: trust and the freedom to leave the usual routes behind. What it means for drivers

  • For long trips, the 2E-XCITE+ is the one to watch: 592 km WLTP for €39,900 with the bonus.
  • For snow and rough roads, the AWD versions bring 343 PS, X-MODE with Grip Control and 1,500 kg towing.
  • Standard 22 kW AC charging cuts stops at public AC chargers considerably.
  • Safety is backed by five Euro NCAP stars.
