Cupra Romania is advertising the new Raval with the line "Power Bonus cadou" (Power Bonus as a gift). The offer page spells out the benefit: the first 30 orders get free charging worth 3,800 lei. The offer runs until the 30 units allocated to the campaign are gone and applies to both private buyers and companies. Full details are on the Cupra website.

Price and key figures

The offer page lists a starting price of 29,167 euros including VAT. According to the price list published in June by importer Porsche Romania (as reported by Economica.net), that is the Raval Plus with the 37 kWh battery. The versions with the larger 52 kWh battery start at 35,252 euros (Endurance) and 37,038 euros (VZ). The final price is set by the dealer, in lei.

  • up to 444 km of range (WLTP);
  • energy consumption: 13.6–15.9 kWh/100 km, CO₂ emissions: 0 g/km.

How the Raval does in the real world

Before you book a test drive, two videos shot with the car on the roads of north-eastern Romania are worth a look. The first is my own test on the Mașina Timpului channel, with the car provided by Moldo Trans: space, drive modes and fast charging. I wrote it up in detail in the Cupra Raval test, day 1.

The second is TeslaHolic's long-distance test: 434 km through the mountains on a single charge, at an average of 11.1 kWh/100 km. The details are in our article on the TeslaHolic test.

Day 2 of my test is next: a loop of about 500 km alongside other electric cars.

Electric cars, tested in real life

On Mașina Timpului (@NotATeslaKiller) you'll find long Tesla road trips across Europe, real range and consumption tests, Tesla FSD, sleeping in EVs and charging stations. About 5 videos a week (in Romanian).
