Michelin Connected Fleet is launching Michelin EV Charge, a charging solution for company fleets, reports "electrive.net". Drivers get a charging card and an app with access to more than 1.2 million public charge points across Europe, where they can find available stations and plan trips.

Keeping costs in check

For fleet managers the point is cost control. Michelin promises transparent pricing with no extra network fees, and negotiated rates in some cases. Public charging across different networks is captured in one place.

More than roaming

The interesting part is the link to MyConnectedFleet: charging data is automatically combined with vehicle telematics. Managers get one view of trips, energy use, state of charge and charging behaviour, so they can spot expensive or inefficient sessions and get recommendations for cheaper habits. "Michelin EV Charge is more than just a simple charging solution," says Sophie Foucque, CEO of Michelin Connected Fleet.

Deftpower under the hood

The technical base is the MSP 2.0 platform from Dutch company Deftpower, which sells its technology as a white-label product to mobility service providers. Deftpower also does smart charging, shifting sessions to cheaper or less congested hours; in 2025 it said up to two thirds of a session could be moved out of peak times. In August 2025 it raised €12.5 million and was working with more than 40 customers in ten European countries.

The backdrop: according to the "Arval Mobility Observatory Barometer 2026", 57% of surveyed fleets already run EVs and another 19% plan to switch within three years. One card and one invoice across every network means less hassle for drivers and fleet managers alike.
