The first accessories I put on my Tesla were Tesery Aero wheel covers for the Model 3 Highland. I filmed all of it: the install, on a day of nearly 36°C, and the removal, so you can see how easy it is to go back to the original caps. The videos are in Romanian.

The install, step by step

  1. Unboxing. I went for the black covers, with a glossy finish.
  2. Original caps off. They pop off the wheel hub easily.
  3. Adhesive centering ring. It sticks to the rim edge and keeps the cover steady on the wheel.
  4. Centering piece in the hub. It goes in with a wrench, and the cover locks onto it.
  5. The Aero cover. Put it in place, tighten it, done.

It completely changes the look: the Model 3 looks sportier and more "aero" than with the factory caps. One thing to know: the covers stick out slightly past the rim.

Removal: 50 seconds per wheel

All you need is a wrench and a screwdriver. I timed it: about 50 seconds to swap one wheel back to the original cap.

A tip from the video: the adhesive ring holds really well, but you have to take the rubber off first, or the original cap won't close.

The winter tip

Glossy covers can scratch. In winter, with snow, road salt and frozen curbs, I swap back to the originals. I do the same for events or whenever I want the factory look. With the swap taking under a minute per wheel, it's no effort at all.

What else is worth getting from Tesery

At first I actually wanted Tesery's mattress for sleeping in the car. I sleep in my Tesla a lot, and with Camp Mode it's the most comfortable way to travel. Tesery suggested the covers instead, and I don't regret it. The mattress is still on my list:
