XPENG GX ships in volume to the Middle East: over 3,000 orders before prices are even announced
XPENG is shipping its flagship GX SUV in volume to the Middle East and Africa, where orders passed 3,000 before pricing was announced. In September, its overseas sales doubled to more than 10,000 cars.

XPENG is having an excellent year outside China. The brand has started shipping its flagship GX SUV in volume to the Middle East and Africa, where orders passed 3,000 before prices were even announced. The news comes from "CnEVPost", citing an XPENG post on Saturday, and the 3,000-order figure also appears on XPENG's official X accounts.
A flagship that wins people over
The GX is a large six-seat SUV, launched in China on May 20 in fully electric and range-extender versions. XPENG's Middle East & Africa account highlights its Kunpeng Super Range Extender technology. Its success at home is clear: the GX reached 20,000 deliveries on August 31, just over three months after launch, and recorded 7,224 deliveries in September, according to "CnEVPost".
Overseas shipments of the GX began in August. In September, XPENG showcased the model at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi ahead of its official regional launch.
Overseas sales doubled
In September, XPENG sold 10,055 cars outside China, 100.94% more than a year earlier. It was the first month above 10,000. In the first nine months, overseas sales reached 59,479 cars, almost 21% of the total.

XPENG's official release confirms the pace: 41,256 deliveries in September, 5% more than August, and 118,390 in the third quarter, up 15% on the previous quarter. Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng said in August that he expects overseas sales to exceed 40,000 in the fourth quarter.
G9L, the star of Paris
In Europe, XPENG launched its new flagship SUV, the G9L, at the Paris Motor Show on October 12. We covered it here: 5.12 m long, up to seven seats, from €74,600 in Germany, with deliveries from December and production at Magna in Graz.

What it means for drivers
Strong demand for the GX, even before pricing, shows how far XPENG's cars have matured. For European drivers, global growth means a stronger network and new models heading our way. XPENG is also preparing megawatt charging for Europe, as we explained in our X-Energy article.
