Citroën 2CV Fourgonnette Concept: the iconic little van returns as an EV
Alongside the new 2 CV Concept, Citroën showed the 2 CV Fourgonnette Concept in Paris, an electric reinterpretation of its famous small van, designed for tradespeople, shopkeepers and deliveries.

After the new 2 CV Concept, Citroën had one more surprise at the Paris Motor Show: the 2 CV Fourgonnette Concept. It is an electric take on the small van that, for decades, was the workhorse of tradespeople, shopkeepers and delivery drivers.
The Fourgonnette spirit, electrified
According to "Citroën", the brand's designers set out to bring back the original's spirit in an electric vehicle that is accessible, practical and ingenious, with an instantly recognisable design. The concept is the van version of the 2 CV Concept and keeps the same principles: a focus on the essentials, clever solutions and maximum ease of use.

A designers' passion project
"Citroën" calls the concept a design study, or more precisely a passion project by its design team. It does not preview a production model in the short term, but it opens up new avenues. Xavier Chardon, CEO of Citroën and DS Automobiles, says the original Fourgonnette was more than a work tool: it was part of everyday life and had a soul that few vans have.

The 2 CV family takes shape
The core model, the 2 CV Concept, previews a 3.76 m European-built city EV with a target starting price of around €15,000 and a launch by 2028. The details are in our article on the new Citroën 2CV. The Fourgonnette shows how versatile the idea can be, from family car to neighbourhood van.

What it means for drivers
- For small businesses and tradespeople, Citroën shows an electric van can be simple and likeable.
- The 2 CV family could grow beyond the €15,000 city car.
- For now it is a concept: Citroën does not plan a production version in the short term, but the idea stays on the table.
